This technology allows for vehicles to be transported by a robotic dolly that has a unique lifting technique for handling vehicles directly from the underside of the tires. Once passing through a channel underneath the vehicle in the Transfer Station, the robotic dolly uses a comb-exchange/finger-grid mechanism consisting of steel extensions to lift the vehicle and transfers it to a shuttle device; each stall in the storage vault is equipped with a simple rack profile that allows the comb-exchange/finger-grid mechanism to lower the vehicle into position to complete the storage procedure.
Designed as a modular Automated Parking System consisting of 2 vertical vehicle stacks separated by a vertical transfer shaft. This vehicle storage and retrieval system utilizes parking pallets (or platforms) that are placed in position on a storage rack structure. Each module of the system has a dedicated entry/exit or Transfer Station, often complete with a Turntable for direct egress.
Automated Guided Vehicles [AGV] transfer vehicles on platforms via an omni-directional robot utilizing traffic management software, markers, vision systems and lasers for self-guidance. The flexibility of this vehicle storage & retrieval system provides a diversity of solutions for unique applications, taking advantage of small spaces and maximizing floor area.
The semi-Automated Lift Sliding System maneuvers stacked vehicles on platforms in horizontal and vertical motions through a Programmable Logic Control (PLC) for simple and efficient direct access to vehicles. The system can be designed with a pit depth for up to 3 vehicles below grade and up to 5 vehicles above grade, giving a total vertical stacking capacity of 8 vehicles in the space usually occupied by a single vehicle. There are no horizontal limitations to the system. This system can be customized for indoor and outdoor applications, complete with external cladding/siding, garage doors and roof.
